Growing In Christ .......... “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."    Matthew 28:19-20

As Christians, our commandment from Jesus is to go out in the world, tell others about Christ, and teach them to do the same. At Linden Hills, we embrace people at all levels of their relationship with God, then  we try to help move people through the many different levels of spiritual growth including:

  • Seekers: Seekers are those who still have yet to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, yet God is moving them closer towards making that decision. We no longer live in a church-oriented society. We can no longer assume that everyone has a basic understanding of God, or even church in general. Therefore, it is up to us to connect to them at THEIR level, in their language so that we might connect in love to their lives. (See the REACH section of this website) 
  • New Believers: New believers are those who have made a commitment to Christ, but have little understanding of what to do next. At Linden Hills, we try to connect new Christians with mentors that can help them understand the basics, and serve as examples of the Christian walk with God. Also, special classes and materials can be made available to New Christians to deepen their relationship and understanding of God and His church.
  • Disciples of Christ: These are believers who have gained a basic understanding of biblical principles as they relate to them, but are seeking a much deeper understanding of God’s message and plan for their lives. At Linden Hills, we encourage all believers to grow in the knowledge and understanding of the Lord they serve through daily personal prayer and bible study. In addition, we also provide believers with the tools they need through church ministries, classes, and worship. 
  • Master Servants: Master servants are believers who have moved to the point in their relationship with God that they are becoming more like Christ each and every day. This is evident in their eagar willingness to “take up their cross” and “lay down ther lives” to help OTHERS.  (For more information, please go to this page: The “Master Servant"
